There has been a pink takeover lately, maybe its because warmer weather should be creeping up soon! We soaked off her acrylics, and did a manicure to strengthen her nails, and did some simple linework with studs. Im pretty envious of Lisa’s nail length! The pink is NCLA’s “Beverly Hills Bunny“, which has been requested quite often lately!

CHICAGO,IL- Friday 2/24/2012 – Chicago welcomes one of the new fresh faces in the game Nitty Scott, MC. New York’s own Nitty Scott will be taking center stage at Subterranen 2011 W. North Avenue. This will mark Nitty Scott’s first performance in the Windy City. She will be joining rap artists Rita J, Esohel, and St. Bagu. 

During Brass’s visit for Nailgasm, Valerie stopped in for acrylics and Tiffany & Co. nail art with some bling. Check out the pics that Brass captured from the film. Found inspiration from this Griz’s set of nails from Brimblesworld’s instagram, where she featured fashion from designer Jonathan Saunders. Very inspired by the patterns, and colors used in his pieces for London Fashion Week .

I have been all on MIA’s “Bad Girls” video, and I’m completely hooked on the fashion and style in the vid. When Delia requested MIA nails, I was super geeked! She also loves pizza, so we did a tribute under a camo print on the middle fingers.

Brass and I stopped in at Kelly Cardena’s salon in Wicker Park to film for Nailgasm, the nail art documentary. The KC crew are OBSESSED with nail art, so for their trip to Las Vegas this week they contacted me to rep KC and Paul Mitchell on their fingertips. I even got to do one of the guys nails from the salon (my mission accomplished)! They do the dopest hair cuts and colors at this salon, and I’m definitely going to stop in for some ombre hair soon. So worth checking out if your from Chicago, or visiting. True artists.

Got to do Ana’s nails from Chi-Style Maven, and she’s a total sweetheart! She requested some tribal, and studs, and she even wrote a nice review on her blog here. Please check it out!

Just had an amazing time with Brass, who flew out to Chicago from Los Angeles to catch some footage of me for her nail art documentary, Nailgasm. I’m so excited to be a part of this film, and think its HUGE from the nail art movement. It’s so nice to have someone acknowledge nail art as a artform. While Brass was here filming, I had to hook her up with some acrylics with some fly nail art. Dabbled in some water marbling (lots of trial and error) and threw in a tribute to Brass with designs from her business card on her index fingers, and BRASS lettering on her middles. I LOVE this set, they were a ton of fun to work on. I’m sad to say Brass left on Friday, but she’s on her way to NY next, and then London, and I cant wait to see what she films!
